A Brief Introduction
Mississippi College, a Baptist university, was founded in 1826 and is the oldest university in the state of Mississippi. MC is the largest private university in the state and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). MC has the authority to grant Bachelor, Masters, PhD, EdD, and JD degrees. To assist students whose English language skills are still developing, MC also hosts an Intensive English Program (IEP) that is approved by AAIEP/EnglishUSA. Mississippi College is a premier private university famous for its commitment to academic excellence and is consistently ranked as one of the best small private universities in the region.

Tuition & Scholarships
Mississippi College is ranked as one of the best value universities in the US because of its low tuition, affordable cost of living, and high quality instruction. The tuition and fees for two academic semesters for undergraduate and graduate are as follows:

All first year undergraduate students receive a $2,000 scholarship; double that amount in the second semester for all A’s. After the first year, undergraduate students can apply for merit based scholarships. Student athletes or students with ACT or SAT scores may be eligible for other scholarships. All graduate students who maintain a 3.0 GPA receive a $1,500 scholarship each year; double that amount for all A’s.

- Undergraduate applicants: High school transcript (GPA 2.5 and up), high school diploma, bank statement, language proficiency scores (IELTS: 5.5 or TOEFL: 69)
- Graduate applicants: Undergraduate transcript (GPA 2.5 and up), undergraduate diploma, 3 letters of recommendation, a personal statement, bank statement, language proficiency scores (IELTS: 6.0 or TOEFL: 79), GRE (290) /GMAT (500)
* Note: Students who do not have an IELTS or TOEFL score will be admitted into our IEP English class before being accepted into the program.
